Terms and privacy

These terms cover everything sold by TidyRules, including the Job Posting Audit, Posting Watch, the Ontario Employer Rules membership, the AI Policy Pack and the free checklist. By buying or signing up, you agree to them.
1. General information, not legal advice
Everything we provide is general information about Ontario (and, where noted, British Columbia) employment rules. It is not legal advice, and using our products doesn't create a lawyer–client relationship. For advice on your own situation, speak with an employment lawyer or contact the Ontario Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development.
2. What the Job Posting Audit checks, and what it doesn't
It checks the text of the public postings you send us (up to 5 per audit) for the elements the rules require: expected pay or a pay range (and the range width), a statement on AI use in screening, assessing or selecting applicants, whether the posting is for an existing vacancy, and any Canadian-experience requirement. It also lists the hiring-process duties a posting can't show, such as telling interviewed applicants within 45 days and keeping records for 3 years.
It doesn't confirm that anything in a posting is true or accurate, review your internal processes or systems, decide whether an exemption applies to you, or certify that a posting or your hiring is compliant. The report reflects the postings and details you gave us, on the date we checked them. Posting Watch works the same way, on a weekly schedule.
3. Delivery
We deliver the audit report as a PDF by email within 2 business days (Monday to Friday, excluding Ontario statutory holidays) of receiving your order details. If a link doesn't work or we need something from you, we'll email you, and the 2 days start once we have what we need.
4. Refunds
If we miss the 2-business-day delivery, or you're not happy with your audit report, reply to your receipt or email hello@tidyrules.ca within 14 days of purchase and we'll refund you in full. No forms, no questions. Refunds for our other products follow the refund policy shown on that product's Gumroad page.
5. Posting Watch founding membership
- The founding price is C$19/month and stays at that price for as long as your membership remains active.
- Your membership starts with a 1-month free trial. Your card is first charged one month after you join, and Gumroad emails you 48 hours before that charge.
- We're aiming to launch the week of November 16, 2026. If Posting Watch isn't live by your first charge date, reply to your receipt and we'll refund that charge in full.
- You can cancel any time from your Gumroad receipt or library. You keep access until the end of the period you've paid for. If you cancel during the free trial, you aren't charged.
- If we decide not to launch Posting Watch, we'll email every founding member and make sure no one is charged, or refund anyone who was.
6. Payment
Payments are processed by Gumroad. We never see or store your card details. Gumroad's own terms and privacy policy apply to the payment.
7. Privacy
We only use the links and details you send us (such as posting links, company name, employee count and notes) and your email address to do the work you paid for, deliver it, and contact you about your order or membership. We don't sell or share your information. We keep order details only as long as needed to provide the service and keep basic business records. Email hello@tidyrules.ca to ask what we hold about you or to have it deleted.
8. Liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any product is limited to the amount you paid for it.
